In the Summer of 1999, along with 135 others, I rode my bike from Seattle to Washington, D.C. for a total of 3,250 miles, 48 days, and 13 states. It was a fundraiser for the American Lung Association- between the three of us we raised about $24,000. I did the ride with two friends that I grew up with in Kankakee- Brian Payne and Ramsey Small.
